I got the bug.....

...the knitting bug.
I have always been a very reluctant knitter. I began with socks and loved them but I wasn't keen on expanding my repertoire. Then low and behold, my dolls began begging for sweaters. Don't they know me? I don't make sweaters. Socks only...and then only for big feet.
Well I acquiesced and started with a very simple pattern. I added sweaters to 4 dolls already and I just love how they feel with the extra layer of snuggly-ness. Here are the results of sweaters 5-9.
They will soon be seen on some of my ready to go Moonchild Dolls. I'll keep you posted.

Miss Flora Gardenia

Meet Miss Flora Gardenia.

Flora Gardenia is wearing my first pair of crocheted shoes. Learning to read a crochet pattern was so difficult for me. After 1 class with Dodie at our local craft store, I not only have a handle on the pattern reading but I can improvise to suit my needs. Anyway...I love the crocheted shoes and I hope you do too.

Clean Shelves

Part of this past week was spent going through fabrics and weeding out the ones I felt I wont be using in the following year. Even though I liked a lot of them (I did buy them after all) it was so liberating to pare down and start fresh. I had a big fabric sale in my BigCartel shop and I will keep the fabric in the shop till Wednesday. After that I will be stocking Moonchild Dolls with...well...Moonchild Dolls and doll clothing.
