Mini Moon Sweater for 11” Dolls
Using size 8 needles and light worsted weight yarn.
Cast on 29 stitches.
The first 4 rows will be knit in Garter Stitch
Place markers as such:
6 - 5 - 7 - 5 - 6
Row 5 start stockinette stitch beginning with the right side.
Increase one stitch before and one stitch after each marker by knitting front and back of those stitches.
Row 6 Knit first 3 stitches, purl till there are 3 stitches left and then knit the last 3 stitches.
Continue rows 5 and 6 till you have 14 stitches on the front sections of the sweater.
On the next right side row, place sleeves on waste yarn.
Knit the following wrong side row. This gives the ridge detail along the waist.
Increase on the next row by knitting the first 3 stitches, *backwards loop, knit 2* till the last 4 stitches. Knit the final 4 stitches on the row.
Continue pattern of stockinette stitch with the garter stitch edges for 14 rows.
Garter stitch the bottom band for 5 rows and then bind off on the right side row.
Pick up for sleeves on dpn’s. Pick up 4 additional stitches under the arm.
Knit 13 rows.
On row 14 decrease 3 stitches evenly around by knitting 2 stitches together.
Bind off.
Add a few sweet buttons at the top of the front and there you have it....a sweet little sweater to keep your little doll warm
