Doll making is Serious Business

These past few months have been VERY productive for me and my wee doll making business. While I have no photo evidence of this I do have some nerve damage and tendonitis in my right wrist and arm to show for it. And that's my sewing hand! So some rest and recuperation are in order.

As the new year sneaks up on me I am laying it wait. I am ready. Wedding plans, business re-vamps, healthier living, growing older and wiser. Bring it on!

This is the time of year where I look at what works for me and where I need to make changes. I am looking forward to participating in a few larger craft shows in the Pacific Northwest this year. Crafty Wonderland is one that I am really hoping to attend.

So I am looking at building up a serious stock of goods, creating kits of certain items, upgrading my literature and labeling and working out displays for Moonchild Studio.

Here is a belated holiday photo of Mr. Hamby and me in front of our gaudy, white, fake tree. We had a truly wonderful Christmas with the girls.

Look forward to new and exciting goodies coming out of Moonchild Studio in 2010!
Happy New Year!

Please, please, please take care of you hand and arm...
I had to give up a business a few years back because I overused, repetitively my hand and wrist. Your dolls are too sweet to not be able to keep at it.

Hi Berrie, take care. I know my hands and forearms have been very tired but no lasting damage. Christmas came at just the right time to force me to rest.

I'm with you on growing older and wiser - it feels like a comfortable but oh so exciting place to be.

Hi Berrie - Sounds like you have a very exciting 2010 ahead of you. I'm excited to hear that you are planning to make some kits. My mother and I were trying to figure out how you created the new foot...you should be very proud of that design.
Happy New Year - Peace and good health!
Jennie
